2. These terms
These terms apply when you:
- use the Carrot Corner website, applications or training platform;
- create a Carrot Corner account;
- purchase or access a course, training package, access bundle or other digital product; or
- use any free training or downloadable resource supplied by Carrot Corner.
Please read these terms before purchasing. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by them.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or access Carrot Corner poker training.
By creating an account or placing an order, you confirm that:
- the information you provide is accurate;
- you are legally capable of entering into a contract;
- you will use the training lawfully; and
- online poker or gambling is lawful for you in your location.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account.
Accounts and course access are personal to the purchaser. You must not share, sell, transfer or provide your account to another person.
Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may require reasonable verification that you are the legitimate account holder.
5. Orders and payment
Product descriptions, prices and the access included with each purchase are displayed on the relevant product page.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise and include applicable taxes where required.
An order is accepted when we send an order confirmation or make the purchased content available, whichever occurs first.
We may reject or cancel an order before access is supplied if:
- payment is declined or reversed;
- the price or product information contained an obvious error;
- we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised payment; or
- we are legally prevented from completing the order.
Promotional codes have no cash value and may be withdrawn or restricted in accordance with their stated conditions.
6. Immediate access and the 14-day cancellation right for UK consumers
Our courses and access bundles are digital content supplied online. They are normally made available immediately after a successful purchase.
When you consent at checkout and place your order, you:
- expressly request and consent to Carrot Corner supplying the digital content before the end of the statutory 14-day cancellation period;
- acknowledge that access may begin immediately after payment; and
- acknowledge that once supply of the digital content begins, you lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel the purchase merely because you have changed your mind.
This loss of the cancellation right applies only where the consent and acknowledgement required by law have been obtained and the supply of digital content has begun.
It does not affect your statutory rights where digital content is faulty, materially misdescribed or otherwise does not comply with applicable law.
7. Refund policy
Except where required by applicable law, purchases of courses, access bundles and other digital products are final and non-refundable.
Carrot Corner does not offer refunds because:
- a customer changes their mind;
- a customer does not complete or use the training;
- a customer expected a different playing result, financial outcome or improvement;
- a customer no longer plays poker;
- a customer’s device, connection or third-party software does not meet the stated technical requirements; or
- a customer’s account is suspended or terminated because these terms were breached.
Nothing in these terms creates a contractual refund guarantee or discretionary refund policy beyond the rights provided by applicable law.
Where a purchase is made through Apple, Google or another third-party marketplace, payments and any refund requests may also be subject to that marketplace’s rules.
8. Access to purchased content
The product page will state what content and period of access are included.
Where a product is expressly sold with “lifetime access”, this means access for the commercial lifetime of that course or the Carrot Corner training service. It does not mean the lifetime of the purchaser or guarantee that a particular website, application, video player or delivery format will operate indefinitely.
We may reasonably:
- update, correct or improve training;
- replace outdated videos or supporting resources;
- reorganise courses and libraries;
- move content to a different website, application or delivery system; and
- temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security or technical work.
We will not deliberately make a material reduction to paid content without a legitimate reason. Where applicable, your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Internet access and compatible equipment are your responsibility.
9. Licence to use the training
Purchasing or accessing content gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to view and use it for your own private education.
Unless we expressly permit it, you must not:
- copy, record, download or reproduce content;
- distribute, publish, sell or sublicense it;
- share videos, files, screenshots or login credentials;
- publicly perform or display it;
- remove copyright or ownership notices;
- scrape or systematically extract content;
- use automated systems to access the service; or
- use our material to create competing training, commercial products or artificial-intelligence datasets.
All intellectual-property rights remain owned by Carrot Corner or the relevant content owner.
10. Acceptable use
You must not use Carrot Corner to:
- break any law or regulation;
- interfere with the platform or another customer’s access;
- attempt to bypass access controls;
- introduce malware or harmful code;
- impersonate another person;
- harass staff, coaches or other users; or
- conduct fraudulent payment or chargeback activity.
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these terms have been materially breached. No refund will be provided following termination for breach, except where required by law.
11. Educational purpose and poker results
Carrot Corner provides poker education and strategic commentary. It does not provide financial, investment, legal or gambling advice.
Poker involves uncertainty and financial risk. Training cannot guarantee that you will win, improve by a particular amount or earn money.
Examples, solver outputs, hand histories and strategic recommendations are educational opinions based on the information and game conditions available when the content was created. Poker environments and player populations can change.
You remain responsible for:
- deciding whether and where to play;
- complying with local laws and platform rules;
- managing your bankroll;
- setting appropriate financial limits; and
- seeking help if gambling is causing harm.
Never gamble with money you cannot afford to lose.
12. Availability and third-party services
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
Availability may be affected by maintenance, hosting providers, video platforms, payment processors, internet failures, cyber incidents or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Links to external websites and third-party tools are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security or terms.
13. Free content
We may add, change or withdraw free courses, previews, newsletters and resources at any time.
Access to free content does not create a guarantee that it will remain available and does not entitle the user to compensation if it is changed or withdrawn.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to those exceptions, Carrot Corner is not responsible for:
- poker losses or lost winnings;
- decisions made using the training;
- loss caused by third-party poker sites, software or services;
- losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed; or
- business losses arising from a consumer purchase.
If you purchase as a business, our total liability arising from a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected product, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
15. Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for legal, regulatory, security, technical or operational reasons.
The terms in force when you place an order will normally govern that purchase. Any change affecting existing paid access will be reasonable and will not remove statutory rights.
Material changes will be communicated through the website, account area or registered email address where appropriate.
17. Complaints
Please contact us through carrotcorner.com/contact-us if you have a complaint.
We will review complaints reasonably and may request account, order or technical information needed to investigate them.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by Scots law.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections provided by the law where you live and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law.
19. General provisions
If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply.
A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.
You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written permission. We may transfer our rights and obligations where this does not reduce your protections.
These terms, the applicable product description and the order confirmation form the agreement between you and Carrot Corner concerning your purchase.
